Joe Camilleri as an Australian vocalist, songwriter and saxophonist is well known as Jo Jo Zep from Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons and as a member of The Black Sorrows. Camilleri has also recorded solo work as Joey Vincent.
Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons included hit singles of Hit & Run 1979, and Taxi Mary in 1982. During 1989 The Black Sorrows had national success with Chained to the Wheel.
As a member of Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons, Camilleri was inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Hall of Fame in 2007. Camilleri released original material during the 1980's as "Joey Vincent" and also in 1995.
Camilleri has also produced records since the late 1970’s for The Sports, Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons, Paul Kelly & the Dots, The Black Sorrows, Renée Geyer and Ross Wilson.
He can also be heard as a session musician and/or vocalist on recordings by dozens of Australian recording acts, including Skyhooks, Tim Finn, Icehouse and Mondo Rock.
